PRIVACY POLICY
Our Calendar and your data
Updated October 11, 2026
Our Calendar is a personal, self-hosted calendar display running on a computer in our home. This public website explains the app and its privacy practices. It does not host the app, accept sign-ins, or collect calendar information.
Calendar connections
If a Google account is connected, the local app requests basic account identification and read-only Google Calendar access. It retrieves calendar names and event details, including titles, dates, times, and locations, to show on our display. It does not create, edit, or delete Google Calendar events. Multiple Google accounts may be connected for one person.
If an iCloud account is connected, the local app uses an Apple app-specific password to read calendars and events through iCloud CalDAV. It does not create, edit, or delete iCloud events.
Where information is kept
Google refresh tokens, the Google client configuration, and iCloud connection details are stored in a file accessible only to the local operating-system account on our home computer. Access tokens and fetched events may be held briefly in memory to refresh the display. The local app is served on the computer’s loopback address. Calendar event data is not sent to this public website or to Hostinger.
Tasks and display settings are kept in the browser’s local storage on that computer. Photos are kept in that browser’s local database. They are not uploaded to this website.
Other services
The display sends the chosen weather location to Open-Meteo to fetch forecasts. Google and Apple receive the requests needed to connect and read their respective calendars. This informational website is hosted by Hostinger, and normal web-server logs may be processed by Hostinger when someone visits it.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell or share calendar data for advertising. Calendar data is used only to display the connected calendars. Disconnecting an account removes its saved connection details from the local app. Clearing the browser’s site data removes locally stored tasks, settings, and photos. A calendar account owner can also revoke access through their Google or Apple account settings.
